My weather question

Hi to all the contributors here.
I am planning to do a trip in 2016 into Morocco on my trusty old Honda Dominator. I was thinking about late May to the start of June. Can anyone tell me if this is a cooler period of the year, although I suspect it is always hot unless you go up into the mountains?
I was also considering camping for the duration (3 weeks) but I am led to believe that hotels are cheap and offer air con to cool the weary biker.
I'm sure I have a million questions to ask but this weather related one is the one bugging me most at this time. I have no restriction to the time of year but Late May is the earliest I could go.
Thanks in advance. Ben

It will be getting pretty hot by then, depending on where you go of course.

I went this year, setting off in mid April which was probalby a good month too late for what I wanted to do. In the southern deserts it was 35 degrees plus once I had got there at the beginning of May. travelling over the pistes was do-able, but droppinga heavy bike and then picking it up would involve a lot of water drinking! 5 litres can just dissapear!

Not sure also if your trip dates might clash with Ramadam, which might alter some of what you will see.

basic hotels have air con sometimes, rarely will it work well. I camped most of the time, nights could be quite hot, even in the desert. it was fresh in the mountains, over 2000m there were still lots of snowdrifts but temperatures were pleasant.

That was my expreience. I'm sure you get cooler or hotter spells. Have you thougth about going after the hot season, perhaps October?

cheers

Dave

I've camped a few nights in Marocco in the wild which was nice. It was December so cold nights, which made it better. Often however we ended up in a .. well, not a hotel , but a room. Two beds was all, but all you need. Saves you the effort if pitching and packing in the morning. Cost wise it doesn't matter.. a few euros per night for two people. So in the end we usually picked a picked over the tent.

Enjoy, I loved Marocco

Thanks for the help

Thanks to the people who replied
I guess I could be looking at a later start date for this adventure. As it will be my first single handed effort I want to give myself the best chance of survival.
