Msied-Labourirat Area
 

Spent a couple of nights in beautiful sand pastureland north of MW6. Entered from Msied and drifted south-South East on bedou herding tracks.

At this time the desert was full of huge grazing herds of sheep,goats and camels.Bedou herders very friendly and unobtrusive.

Great area after good rains if you have the time to spare.

The 'new'graded road from Labouirat west bisects the area so you can come in from Assa too. Did not follow this road to its Western end so cannot confirm where it terminates other than to say it seems not run into Msied otherwise I think we would have crossed it earlier! Hope this is clear!

We were down ther a couple of days ago. Great part of the country

Likewise, we just got back from there, did a beautiful run from Mseid to the cross roads where 4 pistes meet in MW6. Then North on MW6 to Assa.

Back home in Spain now where it is wet and cold.

To think we headed North from Mhamed last week coz it was to hot in the desert at 33-36C.

Ah well,we do drive a LR and the AC is crap:freezing:

We had 42 degrees in the car 2 weeks ago and no air con. It was not pleasant. After being here a month 30-35 feels normal to me now

Keep just missing you! We're in Zagora today (30th), having work done on the rear diff which is making an alarming noise! Starting heading back up to Tangier later and due to catch the ferry on 3rd May to Algeciras.
