So I'm new as a member but have been lurking here and there. I was reading thru the last year's replies and get the impression I cannot take ferry from Spain to Morocco. I went to direct ferries and searched Tarifa to Morocco and can get a ticket for tomorrow.
Did I miss something? I am from USA, having bike shipped to Germany and will fly over mid May. I then plan to ride to Morocco for a month or two.
Is all good if ferry company is selling tickets?

TheWarden 19 Mar 2022 18:15

Ignore the ferry companies at the moment. Until there is an official announcement from the Moroccan Government there are no ferries available for passengers on any route.

There has been some speculation that some ferries might resume before Ramadan next month but nothing official yet.

Chris Scott 19 Mar 2022 18:15

Welcome to Morocco forum.
You may well be able to book a ferry to Ceuta or Melilla which are Spanish enclaves in Morocco. So Spain to Spain.
But the borders from those enclaves to actual Morocco have been closed for 2 years and I get the feeling ferries from France or Italy will resume before Straits ferries to Morocco open up again.

Bigguy136 19 Mar 2022 18:45

Thanks for the info!!

rachel_norfolk 19 Mar 2022 21:11

I was supposed to be there at the moment. No luck, I’m afraid.

Now booked Barcelona->Tangier Med on 1st May for two weeks of general tomfoolery, should anyone also be around.

TheWarden 21 Mar 2022 19:15

Its progress definitely but some context to the Spanish statement.

1 - Morocco has made similar statement regarding Ceuta and Mellilia, although this hasn't been widely reported

2 - Investigation into the Brahim Ghali affair that affected relations badly last year has revealed that Pedro Sanchez authorised Ghali's entry into Spain.

Along with the statement re the WS, Morocco's Ambassador has finally returned to post in Spain after almost a year of absence

Other news, the next Repatriation ferry is scheduled for the 26th March

“Imminent” resumption of maritime links between Morocco and Spain...

TheWarden 23 Mar 2022 20:20

I wouldn't get your hopes up just yet, resumption of the ferry for passengers needs authorisation from the Moroccan Government and they have made no announcement about any ferries yet.

The SoE is up for review before the end of the month so they will either meet tomorrow or in a week to review this, and there may be news regarding ferries included, although I expect the French and Italian routes will restart first.

The 2nd article refers to the Spanish Foreign Minister visiting Morocco on the 1st April, this doesn't mean ferries will restart then, even though the article states that he has said they will.

Spain has previously stated that the Ceuta border will not open before May due to the construction works currently underway.

Everything's moving in the right direction at the moment so hopefully we will see ferry travel restart soon. It makes no sense that people have been allowed to fly in for 2 months but not travel by ferry

rachel_norfolk 23 Mar 2022 20:22

Indeed.

Now that I have the pleasure of working with governments, I’m beginning to realise “imminent“ has a quite different meaning to the one I always thought it did [emoji854]

From which company did you buy you ticket? Will they refund if no ferry?
I'd like to take a ferry on the 26 or 27 of April in Barcelona
Thank you

I booked with GNV.

They seem a little unresponsive to requests to cancel but happy to change the booking. That was easy on the phone and, to be honest, would have cost me a lot more to travel on the dates I’m now booked for.

Shout if you want to tag along. No firm plans, other than exploring.

There is no information when any ferries will start running again at the moment.

Ferry companies will sell you a ticket but until there is an official announcement from the authorities they are just guessing when sailing will start again.

GNV have been cancelling sailing for early April over the last couple of days

Re-opening

Gents,
Hello, the press around here in Spain is already announcing the reopening of borders in a few days from now.

https://telegra.ph/Marruecos-reabrir...a%C3%B1a-03-27

Still to be confirmed, but our Prime and Foreign Affair ministers have an appoinment in Rabat on 1st April for a new agreement between Morocco and Spain.

TheWarden 28 Mar 2022 13:03

La Meridionale announced today the cancellation of ferries due to the lack of decision from the Moroccan Authorities.

GNV aren't taking any bookings until after the 15th April via their website

rachel_norfolk 28 Mar 2022 13:22

Are La Meridionale not based in France? All of their routes appear to come from France and, as such, are not restricted by the issue between Morocco and Spain?

TheWarden 28 Mar 2022 14:13

Yes, but any change in the ferry connections will affect all ferries.

The France and Italy routes ran up until November whereas the Spanish routes have been closed to passengers for 2 years with the exception of repatriation ferries that stopped 12 months ago

Yes, but I plan to go real south and even until Dakar if the borders are open, so I need time and 2 or 3 days of ramadan is not a real problem for tourists.
Anyway if there's no ferry...

WilsonXT 29 Mar 2022 20:56

Hi,
There won't be any trustable news until April 1st, but today again this:
https://www.puentedemando.com/posibl...con-marruecos/
mentions "moroccan media" suggesting 7th of april as a likely date for the line Tarifa-Tangier resuming , Ceuta and Melilla possibly later and with some restrictions.

It also takes for granted that next summer the traffic of ferries will be fully normalised in all southern Spain ports for the moroccan people holidays "Marhaba" campaign.
Regards
Marcos.

TheWarden 29 Mar 2022 22:16

There’s a repatriation ferry arranged for the 9th April if anyone needs it. Its from Tanger to Marseille with La Meridionale.

I had a look at FRS ferries website today as the media keeps reporting FRS will run a ferry from Tarifa on the 7th. Their website says all ferries are suspended.

As I posted in the COVID thread Spain has announced land borders will remain closed until the end of April.

PaleBlueKat 31 Mar 2022 11:37

Are April trips from France to Morocco cancelled on La Meridionale ?

Hello from a new member to this forum.
My partner and I have booked tickets from Marseille to Tangiers and haven't received any confirmation of a cancellation. On the website it has conflicting information regarding Covid-19. I see an update on their website, but underneath this update, they also have information requiring covid tests for the Morocco line.

https://www.lameridionale.fr/fr/prep...sures-covid-19

TheWarden 31 Mar 2022 11:57

The testing requirement info is correct at the moment, proof that of full vaccination and a negative PCR within 48hrs.

La Meridionale posted an update on their social media on the 28th saying they are unable to confirm crossing and will text message customers as necessary. In the website the first ferry you can purchase tickets for is the 13th April. However, as we have seen before, this doesn’t mean it will definitely sail.

I can’t see if the border with with Ceuta is opening from reading the translation I’m heading toward southern Spain now and wouldn’t mind catching a ferry from Algeciras to Ceuta and ride through into Morocco. Just wondering if I can bypass the wait for a ferry to tanger?

TheWarden 9 Apr 2022 15:45

Ceuta border will stay closed until the end of the month at the earliest. They have some construction/improvement work to complete before it opens

Check-in time in Barcelona

For the GNV ferry at Barcelona for Tanger, do you know what is the check-in time for people with motorbikes?
On the GNV site they say 4h before the ship departure for people with vehicules, it seems like a lot of time??

TheWarden 10 Apr 2022 17:39

If the say 4h then it’s 4h or they can refuse boarding if you arrive late .

I’ve only used GNV to get back to Europe after the first lockdown and getting on the ship to over 6 hours at the Morocco end.

TheWarden 11 Apr 2022 15:41

Passengers services from Spain resume tomorrow for passengers without vehicles.

Services for passengers with vehicles resume on the 18th.

Closed Tickets only.

AleMonster 12 Apr 2022 09:24

closed ticket?

What is a "closed ticket" please ??

Hoping to turn up to and sail in early June

TheWarden 12 Apr 2022 10:09

Its a ticket that has a set date and time for the ferry.

Rather than an open ticket which lets you get the next available ferry whenever you like.

I suspect they are doing this so they know in advance how many passengers will be on each ferry ahead of sailing.

PhilG23 12 Apr 2022 11:42

Opening up

As the ferries are about to start up again is there any potential problems with vehicle insurance being available at the ports, due to such a long shutdown? Is there a prearranged online alternative available?

rachel_norfolk 12 Apr 2022 11:44

The idea of picking up some green card insurance before arrival is appealing, I have to say. I’d be interested too

Duffman 12 Apr 2022 17:15

I arrive at Tangier Med on 2nd May. Leave on 13th I think.

No definite plans. Want to take in plenty of piste and generally explore Anti Atlas.

Hi Phil:

I doubt very much if there will be any difficulty at all getting vehicle insurance when you get off the ferry at Tangier Med. There is a very efficient setup there with a small "shopping plaza" right inside the port where you can buy insurance from a number of different vendors (same product, same price from everyone).

I've entered Morocco several times at Tangier Med port and always found it to be a generally pleasant and hassle-free experience.

All the insurance vendors need to do to start up again is just tell their staff to show up at the terminal for work, blow the dust off the computer keyboard & printer, and start selling paper documents.

Note also that it is quite difficult to purchase Moroccan vehicle insurance outside of Morocco... so I don't think you have much of a choice in the matter.

in summary - buying insurance when you arrive is the last thing you need to worry about.

I think for many Europeans and some Brit motorhomers a Green Card extension for your domestic insurance can be bought for Morocco.
For Brit motorbikers and maybe all Brits, that door shut years ago (long before brexit). Unclear why.

Nite also if you forget to buy (or can't from some ports, usually the enclave land borders), the 'assurance frontiers' is very hard to buy from insurance agencies like Axa etc which are easily found in towns.

It's expensive too: 600dh for 10 days*or*955dh for a month for car or bike. Motorhomes pay more.

There are a few things that you might want to think about, although none of them are particularly worrisome:

1)
Ferry ramps and ferry floors can be very slippery, especially if they are wet. If you are riding two-up you might want to get your passenger to dismount before you enter the ferry ramp.

2) The Morocco ferries are not known for providing high-quality tie-down straps for motos. You might want to buy a small ratchet-strap and pack it in an easy-to-get-to part of your kit.

3) Normally, motorcycles are expected to go to the head of the queue to board the Morocco ferries. This is not considered discourteous by the automobile drivers. You can take your cues from other motorcycles.

4) Avoid the touts who hang around the shopping plaza at Tangier Med when you go in to buy insurance. Even though you have never been there before, it won't be difficult for you to figure out which storefront to go to to purchase your insurance. Chances are you will be approached by touts after you stop in the parking lot before you even release the brake lever. They are not aggressive, but they can be persistent. A firm "No, merci" is usually sufficient.

5) Pay close attention to the speed limit within the Tangier Med port complex and within the first 20 km of riding once you leave the port complex. The Moroccan police are not predatory, but the port is huge (I think you ride about 4 miles from exiting the boat to exiting the port complex) and speed limits are (quite properly) enforced within the port. The highway police within 20 miles of the port are there to catch the scofflaws before they cause accidents in the built-up areas.

6) Chances are you will be a bit tired and fatigued after the ferry crossing, the embarkation and disembarkation process, customs, insurance buying, figuring out the road signs and how the locals drive, etc. So consider planning your first night stop no further than a 2 hour ride from the port.

7) Credit cards are widely accepted in Morocco at the more upscale facilities, but are not commonly accepted at small stores, restaurants other than high-end ones, and simple hotels. There are ATMs at the port in the same shopping plaza where you get the insurance. Take out a good hunk of Moroccan money from one of those ATMs before you leave the port. No point in getting Moroccan funds before reaching Morocco - you will get the very best exchange rate at an ATM, not at a moneychanger. Just use your home ATM card if it is Cirrus or Maestro or one of the other big networks.

Hope this helps you. Morocco is a delightful place to visit.

Oh, heck, that's the LEAST of your worries!

There are zillions of motorcycle repair shops all over Morocco - motorcycles are a primary form of transportation in Morocco. Don't be at all concerned that the staff at any one of these shops have never seen your model of moto before - I needed a wheel bearing for my Honda ST 1100 a few years ago when I was in a small town in Morocco, something I thought would be impossible to get because big bikes like ST 1100s were never sold in Morocco.

The staff of the small moto shop put me on the passenger seat of a moped and we sped off into town to go searching... 40 minutes later, we had found the exact part I needed, and 4 hours later, it was installed and I was back on the road, with a fresh oil and filter change as a bonus.

I wrote a post about it on a PanEuropean forum that I belong to, give it a read and it will both eliminate all your worries and give you a good smile. Here's the link: ST 1100 Rear Wheel Bearing Surprise.

Hi Chris:

I don't recall Moroccan motorcycle insurance being that expensive last time I was there (about 3 years ago, pre-pandemic). I seem to recall that it cost me somewhere around USD $100 for a month of motorcycle insurance. That's more or less consistent with what a month of European green card insurance costs if purchased in the least expensive country, which is Bulgaria. I believe that there were different prices in Morocco for motos vs. automobiles.

Perhaps someone who visits Morocco this spring could come back to this discussion and let us know what the current prices are.

Michael

markharf 16 Apr 2022 22:44

I may be missing something, but at 10 dirham to the US dollar I believe you're agreeing on the cost. And for whatever it's worth, that's about what I paid ten years ago, too.

We would love to return and visit Morocco but this will have to wait for us until late this year or early next year. Hopefully things return to some sense of normalcy over the next couple months. A lot of good tips in your post!
Is there a Bank ATM in the Tanger med port? I only passed there once, quite fast and didn't notice.

I'm Heading to Spain on Wednesday, planning on catching a ferry to Morocco late Saturday.

I had read that a pcr was required regardless of vaccine passport and within 48hrs, but read here that may not be the case. Can anyone confirm this? as it will save a route via malaga Airport to get one.

I'll be buying a ferry ticket somewhere en route in Spain when I have a better idea of what time I'll make Algeciras. Crossing still seem plentiful at the moment.

Hi Alex:

Not much point in buying a ferry ticket until you actually get to Algeciras. There is nothing to be gained by buying a ticket in advance, it's not peak season when ferries sell out.

normaligator 20 Apr 2022 12:42

Hello again,

I just booked my ferry from Séte to Nador for the 8th of May.
I thought I drop these two points here to help other people.

- As confirmed by others before, it is either vaccination or a pcr test. I found another source of confirmation for this on this moroccon tourism website.
https://www.visitmorocco.com/en/trav...ely-to-morocco
It states "Before boarding, passengers must present a valid vaccination pass or a negative PCR test less than 72 hours old. It should be noted that all vaccination passes issued by other countries are accepted provided they are valid in their country of issue."

- second, the GNV Website provides a Fiche Sanitaire du Passager / Public Health Passenger Form - Coronavirus - which seems adjusted a little bit to suit the maritime travel. The one I have seen so far ask for a flight number. This document asks for the Name of Boat. Surely not a huge deal i believe. But I want to share the link here to help others:

It is adjacent Spanish enclaves Melilla (and Ceuta) which are being upgraded.

rachel_norfolk 21 Apr 2022 12:56

I know there are always a bunch of people selling SIM cards at the exit of Tanger Med port but never picked one up before.

Are they any good? Worth buying from them or keeping going elsewhere?

Chris Scott 21 Apr 2022 13:04

Maybe I've been doing it wrong all these years but I find it's better to go to a telecom boutique and get the tech-savvy young bloke to install the card, call the magic number (often in Arabic) to set it up and crucially, tell you what your PIN and phone number is.

TheWarden 21 Apr 2022 17:50

SIM card should be free. As Chris said go to a shop and get them to set it up, they may charge a little bit for this. (I paid 50dH for 10 activated SIM cards a few years ago).

Once activated you can use the networks app to add credit using your debit/credit card.

Paul - I’m catching the ferry at Portsmouth tomorrow, on my way to Tanger Med, arriving there on 2nd.

Is your V5 between Norfolk and Portsmouth? I’m happy to pick it up just in case

Rachel

Wow thats a kind offer, but its in birmingham and not really on your route, just not sure copies will be ok,anybody know?

5fl 27 Apr 2022 23:43

I think i will get it posted down to seville, doesnt seem worth the risk of being stuck the wrong side of customs for my four week stay!

barcelona/ tanger med fron gnv

I crossed from barcelona to tanger med on the 26th with GNV.
The ferry was suppose to leave at 12h.
The office to make the check-in opens at 9h! So no need to come 4h before as written on your e-ticket. You could even be there just two hours before like a lot did.
There is a boarding parking just before the offices, if you're with a car or truck you have to park before go make the check-in, with a bike you can register first and park after.
You need to have a printed covid pass or pcr test.
The ferry left at 1pm.
There are maroccan customs officers in the Grand Salon on deck 6, where you have to pass for your passport and vehicule there is a little form to fill.
You don't need to queue for one hour to do that when the ferry leave, likeI did, the guys will be in the boat all the trip, just wait for the good time.
As I didnt booked a cabin, I slepped in the Grand Salon with sleeping bag, a lot of People did, absolutly no problem with leaving sleeping gear and clothes when you go for lunch or take a walk, friendly atmosphere.
The ferry arrived at the port at 5:45pm local time, I get out at 6:15.

Algeciras-Tangier Med Saturday 30-04-2022

We crossed from Algeciras-Tangier Med Saturday with FRS. (First time in Morocco with a bike so it was a bit of a learning experience) Booked online the night before and checked in online for boarding passed for our selves and the bikes. We had booked the 3:00pm crossing which didn't arrive. I walked over to the ticket office to enquire about the delay, they seemed a bit surprised when I said that our boat was still in Morocco! (FRS has live tracking on their website) Anyway, I'm guessing they drop crossings if they're not full enough. (The only ferry which seemed to run on time was AML) It was 6:00pm when we actually left at which point there were four ferries all trying to load and unload!

Our bikes where strapped down very well. (The only two on our crossing) My KTM is generally a bit of a problem having 300mm of travel, but surprisingly they put some wheel chocks under the bash plate and chocks on the front wheel and it was very solid.

Immigration was dealt with on the boat with the small cards to complete and a guy with a laptop stamping passports. Queuing for this took most of the crossing... Although we had the separate health form and COVID vaccination passes printed at no point did anyone want to see them.

We were first off the boat and got to the big customs gates where we were asked for passports and vehicle documents (V5 in our case) these were taken and returned in a couple of minutes with the little white card which must be kept for exiting Morocco with the bike. We asked about insurance at this point and were told yes the office is open. There's a short stretch of road between the customs gates and the carpark and group of buildings, insurance is last on the right as you ride through the carpark past several ATMs. They we're very helpful, I had wondered if it would be open on a Saturday evening, but they laughed and said no they are always open. It cost 97 euros for one month. In the port area there was just one guy selling sim cards, no one else hassling with 'help'. The was another check point after this area but we weren't stopped do just rode through.

rachel_norfolk 2 May 2022 22:21

Just came through Tanger Med and my experience was much like above.
Getting the TVIP seemed to take an age - maybe 25 minutes - for some reason.
As a UK resident, I needed bike insurance and this was easy to obtain, at 970 MAD for the month. The guy in the AXA booth also offered me a SIM card and I took up his offer. 100MAD for 5 GB. Not the best value but, to be honest, I’ll not use more than that in the time I have here. Worked just fine. I have my EE account as an eSIM so I needed to explain the intricacies of choosing with SIM is active for data.
Not many “helpers” around and easily ignored.

TheWarden 7 May 2022 19:03

With the build up to the summers busy period and Operation Maharba it has been announced that passengers will need a ticket to access the port. They will not be able to buy a ticket at the port facilities apparently.

It seems this will remain in place for the rest of the year

Bigguy136 8 Jun 2022 18:59

I crossed a week back. Left from Tarifa arrived at Tangier. Needed a negative PCR before I could purchase ticket (me and motorcycle). Got a 2 hour PCR test for 110 euros (24 hour results was 90). Got results at noon, went to loading area and both transport companies were selling tickets at boat launch with next outing time shown. FRS had next boat leaving at 3:00 PM. Booked ticket and on my way. When I bought ticket, I got 2 forms to fill out. 1 was where I have been, have I been vaccinated ect. Second form was info typically asked from customs. Got on boat, they tied bike down, went to customs line, gave them the forms and all done except for clearing customs in Morocco. I was one of the 1st off the boat and still took 2+ hours. They opened everything to look.
Tonight, I am in Ceuta, Spain, Africa. Took about 30 minutes to stamp out and into Spain. Then had to show proof for fully vaccinated. I am from USA and only have paper vac ticket. I scanned paper to my phone and showed it and that was good enough. 2 more checkpoints showing passport and done. Bought a ticket with FSR again. Going from memory, ticket from Tarifa to Tangier was 135 euros. Going from Ceuta to Algeciras was 63 euros. I am assuming because I did boarder crossing myself is why the price is so different.
Sorry if this is a repeat from others. i did a quick scan prior to posting. I'm hungry and need to find some food. If info isn't helpful, feel free to delete.
**EDIT June 9**
Sorry, I thought I did return ferry with FSR. I saw their sign at building and as I pulled up, a guy had me park on the sidewalk and showed me inside. There were two businesses selling tickets and he led me over to Balearia ferry. Not sure if that was the reason for cheaper return ticket. Ferry took 50 minutes cross, they tied bike down and were also excellent service. If you are crossing from here, watch the time zones. I made the 8:30AM ferry with 4 minutes to spare when my phone was showing I was 1 hour early.

PhilG23 9 Jun 2022 14:48

I crossed at Tangier Med on 31/05. I showed my covid app on phone at Algeciras at passport control. I filled out the health form but no-one wanted to see it, so still have it. I was asked whether I was a journalist or not and asked to show address of where I was staying.
Getting the TVIP took 5 mins. it was simple and a pretty good experience. I bought insurance for 5 days (500MAD) and found my insurer Bikesure does it too but they never told me when I asked as they assumed I'd want equivalent comp insurance and they only do 3rd party, I complained and they apologized so check if your UK insurer would offer 3rd party if they say no at first.
I used an eSim for data, from a company called Holafly, you scan a QR code to install, if your phone supports it' it's an easy option, $27 for 3.5GB of data, it starts when you scan the QR code, you're supposed to be able to install then activate, but mine activated right away and I'd chosen 5 days so it will stop working on day 6, so if you use one, install the day you are going to use and reboot the phone, it worked well after that and I had data from Tangier to Merzouga.

When I got to Tangier, I saw sign for money conversion. I changed some money and asked about sim card. He pointed me next door. There, I bought an Orange brand SIM card for 3 Euros and 10GB of data for 5 Euros. He didn't have proper pin to eject current SIM from my Samsung 9 and made a thumb tack work. I will add a paperclip to my future travel spares.

May I ask what people have been paying for ferries recently?

A return ticket in a Land Rover 110 for 2 people is costing just shy of £500 in September.

I appreciate most of you are 2 wheeling it, but curious if the routes are much different in costs or would it have been better to try on the day if it becomes possible.

We’re going Almeria > Melilla then return from Melilla > Malaga, purely as these were the cheapest using the ferries own website (Balearia)

Ferries

Hi Over
That seems a lot, but maybe the season.
It is worth the drive to Algaciras as this much shorter/cheaper, at the moment 140 euro 1 way for van and 2 pax.

Ferries

Try www.viajesnormanie.net. for the Algeciras-Tan Med crossing.

They used to be one of the most competitive but not sure what the pandemic may have done to their business.

TheWarden 22 Jun 2022 09:29

Post covid pices are up significantly and its also Operation Marhaba until the 15th September so a lot of demand.

I've seen prices of 250 euro for a 4x4 and 2 people advertised for the Algeciras Tanger Med route at the moment

cedar 22 Jun 2022 11:59

Crossing

Ah, I was quoting Ceuta-Algaceras which is shorter and the other way!

[Post Covid] Morocco Ferries

So, my return ticket in May from Barcelona to Tanger Med with a private cabin and motorcycle was €220 return. This was with GNV.

Honestly, it was very good value and the short distance to Barcelona from Bilbao meant I only needed one night’s accommodation on the transit. Oh, and saved my new tyres.

I would take the same option again.

chris gale 22 Jun 2022 18:55

Rachel.....do Gnv provide straps to secure the bike or do u have to bring ur own?

rachel_norfolk 22 Jun 2022 18:58

Straps provided. And they wanted to do it themselves. Definitely wouldn’t let us do it.

To be honest, they did a good job

chris gale 22 Jun 2022 19:30

Thank you Rachel

Today's ferry prices

Ferry prices from Carlos today, 18 August 2022:
Algeciras-Ceuta €225.00
Algeciras-TangerMed €250.00

Open return, Car plus 2Pax.

Thinking of trying Ceuta again as it's a fast ferry and you enter Morocco on the corniche just a few km from the motorway/Tetouan/Rif.
Anybody done Ceuta since the new border facilities opened? Any hassle? Insurance booth at the border?

Happy trails,

Peter

Getting motorcycle insurance on a Sunday

Hello
Can anyone advise me if it is possible to get motorcycle insurance on a Sunday in Tangier Med? I will be arriving around mid-day on the 23rd of October which is a Sunday.
Thanks

TheWarden 4 Sep 2022 22:58

Insurance place should be open. On a few occasions I’ve arrived on a Sunday evening and it’s been closed.

Hello!

On monday i travel with motorcycle from Genova to Marocco. I am vacinated twice, so i need PCR test. Here is my question. Do i need PCR when i bord on ferry in Genoa or when i cross border in Marocco?

How to trevel in marocco if i dont have 3 vacinations? Do i need any covid documents for hotels, shops, bars...?

backofbeyond 5 Sep 2022 14:26

They checked for three vaccinations when we crossed from Ceuta a couple of weeks ago. After that nobody was interested. Nobody asked anything about Covid in hotels or restaurants or anywhere

“To enter Morocco, passengers are required to have had three vaccine doses (or have had their second vaccine dose within the previous four months) , OR proof of a negative PCR test result, with the sample having been taken within 72 hours before boarding.”

https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-ad...y-requirements

Assuming your jabbed to the eyeballs they happily accepted your proof of jabs. Had you not been jabbed up a -ve test would have been fine.
