mh1 midelt morocco !!!
 

hi all has any one been over mh1 recently, was just wondering condition of the track and any excitment to look forward to , we are crossing from midelt, and hope fully going all the way to boumalne,du dade,s via imilchil and msemrir any info appreciated, we are on 2 trail bike,s loaded but not overloaded, cheers freddy

I did it in november 2009 with a Toyota HZJ75 and had no problems, not with the road condition not with te road finding. Nice scenery.

Hi,
I did the route in Feb this year, there wasn't anything to trouble a bike. There were snow patches covering small sections of the piste, but they never lasted long. It was muddy and washed out in places, but you should be fine.
The river had engulfed the road towards the end of the Dadaes, so we had to take the Todra route instead, but that info isn't really relevant now (will have got better, will happen again at some point i'm sure) Best to seak local advice at the time, the guy who runs the petrol station in Imilchil was a decent guy, if you go up there it'd be worth asking him.

Did it a few days ago. No problems whatsoever. Has been one of the highlights of Morocco, I can only recommend it, fairly easy terrain too. There was one oued towards the end (south) where the road was washed away and we had to go through the rocky river bed. Local kids had been removing the big rocks though and showed us an easy route.
