Marrakech and gas cylinders
 

Seeking some knowledge from regulars to Marrakesh.

Could anyone give me an idea where to get a screw in type gas cyclinder for mini MSR style cooker. Very limited time after flying in to try and pick one up before heading off.

The petrol option is in 2nd place, trying to keep kit to a minimum and I've had problems flying with containers before even after vigorous washing and airing.

Only place I've seen them (Coleman/Jetboil type) is Atlas Trek shop at Imlil and no guarantees they have stock anymore

For gas cylinders (mine would be 6kg propane). I'd planned to buy what was readily available and pay for a local adapter. Presumably adapters from gas cylinder to flexible rubber hose will be available all round the world.

There are gas cylinders and adaptors of the type you want avaliable in the city. We found them by accident whilst trying to get out of the souks. from memory if you head towards the metal work part of the souks you evemtually come out into a.cross roads of sorts with a large cash point near it, lots of shops that sell everything including what you want. its near the city ring road and we got totally lost getting back.........
