Is this to far in one day?

I’m just wondering if meknes to merzouga in one day is too far? 281 miles on R1200GS

Not ridden here before and just looking for an opinion I’m unsure of Road conditions and potential delays like police road checks.

Roads are fine, police checks are not a major impediment. That's not too far if you like riding, but yes too far if you like stopping to see stuff, talk to people, explore side roads...or if it rains, snows, and/or you sleep late. I have some personal experience with the last two along exactly that route.

Its a good 7 hours non stop without hold ups so would make for a very long day. Lots of speed traps between Midelt and Er Rachidia so watch your speed.

I wouldn't do it in one day. Slow down a bit and take a day and a half in my opinion.
