Info and some help please....

On my last visit in January, 2 laws/clampdowns were just starting;
1. ban on bull bars, though I believe it's on older Moroccan vehicles (5yrs and older, I understand) and not tourist vehicles. Though, still trying to find out, does anyone know?

2. Jaywalking, a crackdown and a small fine, €3, I'll try and find out more in May, hopefully without spending €3. :)

Some info please; Ramadan is 15th May - 14th June, all the times I've been to Morocco, I haven't been there during it. I will this time, so just wondering, apart from the usual respect to local laws/customs. Does life actually changed dramatically in Morocco? I'm talking cities/towns here, not MS6 etc.

Thanks for any help/advice, safe travels.

I have had plenty bull bars in Moro last time in January. I think it's bull.

Generally the police don't harass tourists. Not so many years ago they were looking for bribes, that is rare now.

Ramadan - my first trip to Moro in 1983 we were in Marrakech during ramadan in June, and my friends were stoned by an angry mob for drinking water in the street. Things change, but I would still show respect during ramadan. People get testy in the heat, but after sunset there is a feast.

Just as I don't expect Muslim visitors to the UK to give up chocolate for Lent, I have no compunction about drinking water in public. But be subtle about it.

Generally I avoid Ramadan as it interferes with my love of sitting at pavement cafes with my nus nus watching the world go by.

Priffe: many thanks, good info as always. Bull. :thumbup1: Probably not tourist vehicles, it seems like newer Moroccan ones, the authorities have brought it inline with some EU countries.

Tim; many thanks, likewise, sitting at a cafe watching life is enjoyable. Dare I ask what "nus nus" is?

Visited Morocco during March/April in 2017 with my Landy which has a bull bar. I did not have any issues with the police...other than the speeding ticket.

Café nus nus (half-half) is the perfect mix of strong coffee and milk you should ask for when in Morocco
