Has anyone got club membership for Brittany Ferries? Does it give the discounts expected?

I have just found out that the 10% friends discount is not available to tall vehicles in winter. Only 5% discount. I feel there ought to be some EU legislation to outlaw such tall-vehicle discrimination, but apparently not.

They say the 30% members discount is still available.
