Ran through from Mrimina to Iriki.There were three army checkpoints where they had to fill in 'fiche'.Next time I will go with prefilled forms as suggested:oops2:
They say they are not there to keep tourists out but to register who is in there.Very helpful and polite.

At the third one before entry to Iriki there were three young squaddies who amused us in passable English by telling us how mad we were to be leaving the EU.We thought after being suitably stamped and chastised that they were rather wasted on desert gate duty:thumbup1:

Bimbled around in SW-SE Iriki in beautiful low dune-subkha country and then went around the North side and to our absolute disgust did the rocky track out to the N9.
