Cross Syria
 

hi guys, i would like to go to saudi arabia by land, crossing syria and jordan. Do you have any news on how to cross Syria?

Closes I arrived to syria was a city near it in Jordan, from saudi. So I dont have experience, I dont see why the border to syria would be closed, or that you would have issues crossing it. But jordan, saudi with no issues aslong as you have a trip ticket/carnet

I have recently heard from the guys, that relationship with the syria and gcc is getting better, so tourism is getting better

The Turkey-Syria border is closed to civilians, and has been for many years.

The only option is to take a (very expensive) ferry from Tasucu in Turkey to Tripoli in Lebanon, then cross Syria to Jordan.

To get a Syrian visa you need to engage a travel agent and book an escorted tour, even if you just wish to transit from Lebanon to Jordan.

Have you thought of going through Iraq instead? Will you be coming on motorcycle? If you are coming on motorcycle the weather in Saudi is unrideable, unless you travel at night. October the weather starts to cool off, and its the best most amazing time to travel to parts of the GCC.
