August month temperatures in Turkey/Iran/UAE/Oman?
 

Anyone have experienced motorcycle travelling in august month on those countries, what are the temperatures in Iran/UAE/Oman? Dry or humid, tolerable? Best time to drive in early mornings and evenings?

It really depends on your tolerance to extreme heat and how badly you want to be in the region in August.

Dubai and the Arabian Gulf coast will be humid and extremely hot then. Inland towards Al Ain, it will just extremely hot without the humidity.

Southern Iran around the ports will be similarly horribly humid but it will get more bearable as you go north towards Esfahan. (It’s still hot!)

I rode up through Iran one July (because I had no choice as to my holiday period). It was bearable but it’s not fun being in traffic in Emirati or Iranian cities in the summer.

I would avoid the summer if possible, simply because the weather at other times is fantastic. Dubai will hit 100o F + fairly soon and remain there until at least September.

Anyway, for my personal experience, Iran in August is very hot, over 40 C in the middle of the day. As rule, you have the highest temperature of the day between 12h and 16h.
Note that temperature decreases approximatley one degree every 100 m of altitude.

UAE is a plan too if we can get the VISA. We'll need to contact some travel agency to get (hotel) invitation as far as i'm concerned if entering with own vehicle. Dunno about Carnet requirement though yet.

I am also planning ride to Bahrain and I think they also wants a invitation from a hotel. Are there any other options than a travel agancies. Cause I've found some offers on the web which is almost half price. Can I just book it and print out the e-mail? Would it be enough for visa you think?

Temperature in August in Turkiye
Northern black sea cost; nice and refreshing probabily around 25's. You may get even some rain on the highlands (plateu)

Mediterranean cost 30's and hot but if you are heading further down to UAE this will be still very nice for you....
Drinks lots of water and travel early in the morning to avoid the sun.

Regarding visa and UAE, I don't think you need one. I didn't, I got it at the border. That plus insurance and stamping the carnet was all over in 20 minutes, which must be some kind of world record. I'm an EU-citizen, and so are you I take it, so I don't see why you should need a visa?

Im burning up in this weather, im in muscat and its 30 at night and 44 with humidty at day. My knobbys turn to jelly on the road and have to keep filling up my camel packup. Ive been getting use to it lately, but the sleeping at nighteven parchs your throat. But still this what adventures about.
