Hi to all
I'm planing to cross the border from china to vietnam on the end of december .
My plan is to buy a motorbike and travel in north vietnam . I would like to participate in some volunteer work on the way .
I will be thankfull for any information .

Hi oren Hope you are still looking at this post. I'm afraid i cannot help with the volunteer work. But I was thinking of doing a similar ride soon too. So i was wondering if you knew how hard it is for a person not from china or vietnam to ride from china to vietnam (or loas for that matter) on a bike from china.

If you're still interested in a China-Southeast Asia-China bike ride it's certainly possible. These guys are doing a China-Laos-Thailand-Cambodia-Vietnam-China trip at the moment on two Chinese-made bikes. I think they're expecting some problems getting in at the Vietnam border though.

I'm not too sure about the volunteer situation in those countries.
