Anyone raised their 120 Prado by 50mm ?

Hello,
I have a 2005 120 series Prado.
I was thinking about fitting some longer springs and shocks, to give me a 50mm increase in ride height.
I don't want to stiffen up the suspension, I want to maintain the same spring rate.
Ideas please.

Hi uk_vette
Take a look at www.expeditions.se • Index page
Ask your question on the board. There are two members with lifted 120´s.

Have you tried PradoPoint ?

Quite an active 120 series community down under :

Raised suspension on 120 series

Go for the Old Man Emu set up.

It's tried and tested, the ride is still supple - no harshness at all. Fitted it to my 120 three years ago and it still handles beautifully.

Give Ed Mulligan at 4WD WORLD in Oz a try.
Supplies Bilstein and 50mm lift springs for around A$1600. No difference in comfort. Can still use Polyairs in rear springs if carrying really heavy loads.
Tried and tested and won't fall apart in the rough stuff.
