Qn to KTM with WP Extreme forks owners

Colleagues,
I am finializing some upgrade of my Suzuki DR800 with WP Extreme 50mm conventional forks off Husaberg. They are totally same with KTM, except according to Berg info they are not 300 but 280 mm travel.
They were standard on many pre-99 KTMs and on I think LC4 Adventure pre-2000.
I have slight problem as I need to limit travel of forks by appr. 20 mm to be 100% sure wheel will not contact crashbars on bottoming out.
Variants with shortening forks in any way not applicable as I need to retain lenght fork tubes available for sliding into "further apart" lower and upper fork clamps on DR. I got set of correct springs for me (5.25 wire, 25 coild, 480 mm).
When working on forks I noticed that in all manuals hydraulic stop (it looks like simple cup) on those forks referred to by WP as having some conical side (?). I could not see it to be honest. I am sure you know it, just in case - lower flange of cartridge bolted to lower caps of forks via those bottoming stops and fork tubes slide onto them on full compression.
Now the questions - I would be really gratefull if anybody can help to answer them.

1. How this hydro bottoming stop works on WP Extreme forks? I see no cup and cone "bottoming cone" system in them, it looks rather like traditional ...so it seems that on full compression oil get trapped between air gap and hydraulic stop or I miss something trickier than that? Like those stops shooting portion of oil into cartridges on full compression etc.?
2. Holes in wall near lower slider of fork tube - their role in WP Extremes somehow different from other forks?
3. And of course key question - is there a way to stop forks "earlier" in travel more-less reliably by any changes to hydro stop? Or I should just stick to raising oil level by 20 mm and stop being paranoid?

Thank you in advance.

P.S. OOps, had to make myself clearer. On point 1 I meant that if it is system where oil captured by hydro stop supposed to be forced between that stop/cup walls and fork tube or is is somehow different?
