The beauty of tubed tyres is that if you get a puncture, you either get a new tube or patch the puncture until you can get a new tube. The only reason you would replace a tyre is down to wear or obvious damage (especially to a side wall).

using tubless tyres do not affect you option of using tubes, prviding you have a suitable hole for the valve. in this case you have the option of either repair method, and you would have to replace teh tube afetr repair anyway. so I do not see any disadvantage
