Some questions about KLE500
 

Hi Everyone!
First of all I'm new to HU forums and also new user of KLE500. I just bough mine 4 days ago and have few basic questions.

1.When i need to change engine oil (on how many kilometers, every 3k? 5k?)
2.Do i need to renew engine oil filter when i change engine oil everytime?
3.On how many kilometers? My old honda's user manuel says every 7k kilometers but i dont have any clue about kawasaki.
4.On how many kilometers do i need to clear air filter?

Welcome to the HUB Atilla, you will enjoy your new ride.

Factory recommendation is 6k for the oil change. (I do mine at 3k) Use a good synthetic oil. I always replace the oil filter when I do an oil change. My brain cannot understand mixing brand new oil with the old oil left in the filter.

The air filter will depend on your riding conditions. If you are riding mostly urban roads it will not require servicing as often as when riding dusty fire trails.

Search the links in the forum and download the factory manual.

Congratulations on the new bike :thumbup1: And to help you out:
1. I changed the oil every 4000-5000km depending on where I was riding
2. Fresh filter on every oil change, they are not so expensive
3. Same as 1.
4. If you ride a lot of dirt and sand, at least 1 between oil changes or if you only ride on road than every oil change!

I found service manual for KLE 500 online and downloaded it. it will be very helpfull.
Also thanks for answers :)

KLE service manual says that oil change interval is 12.000km(!).
You dont need hyper super ultra oils .Good mineral oil is ok..delvac etc.
I have KLE and suzuki bandit turbo , and used delvac in both off them without problems.
