KLE gearbox issues
 

Hi all
I'm having a problem shifting the main problem is downshifting when i go to select a lower gear the lever some times goes loose with no resistance or very little resistance and no gear is selected it remains in the higher gear.

I have found that if i start pushing down on the lever then pull the clutch in this problem occurs less but the shift is less smooth

The second problem is 1st to 2nd shifting i sometimes find neutral usually during a quick launch. This could be caused by MX boots due to limited ankle movement and not related to downshifting

Could something in the shift mechanism be worn and not engaging properly?
The bike has 22K miles on the clock

22 000km still gear box suppose to be OK.Shifting the gears on KLE is a bit specific deal compared with ...So if you use the bike not so long ago,could be little strange for you.I'm driving my KLE for 6th year and still can surprise me sometimes!If my impressions can help...

Hi all
I have now fixed the issue the selector pawl was slightly worn which was causing it to skip the selector drum cam.
I have replaced the pawl and it now changes first time everytime
