1995 Kle 500 - Modifications and Problems

So recently I bought a KLE 500 from 1995 with 27500 km on the clock. :thumbup1:
After a couple of rides I decided to change a lot of things.

Remove the decals, somehow i hated them. :thumbdown:
Exhaust GPR tri oval.
Central Stander Sw motech.
Raised Suspension although central stander doesnt like it. eheh
Rimfire Air intake with KN filter, (big snorkel).
After I rejet the carburetor from 114 to 117.5 (main jet) no changes to needles. Two and half turns on Air mix.

Went for a ride, at Wot the bike just fly. The sound is superb but as soon as you take off the gas, start hearing some popping on the exhaust. At low rpm the bike somehow feels a little messy.
Also noticed after the air filter change, the engine has different sound, and somehow I hear some metallic sound on the engine. Is this normal?

Mine gives a low end lumpyness and goes like a rocket mid to top end ( finally sorted my issue ) but i put it down to running it more rich than usual...at low revs too much fuel but i'm looking to re jet it with K&N cone filters ( i can't stand the standard airbox! )

As for the noisyness it could be the tappets need adjusting ( should do them before balancing your carbs ) or the cam chain tensioner...personally i did my tappets so i ruled them out, but i'm not worrying about the cam chain tensioner just yet...i may strip the engine over the winter but tbh from the GPZ to the KLE the engines were always noisy from the cam chains.

So, after a few rides around town here is the facts.

The bike is running too rich, at low rpm you can actually feel it. Right now is making with a tank 180 km, and then comes the reserve. This is crazy.

Next step adjust the air fuel mixture.

Renthal bar.
Heated Grips Daytona.
Madhead handguards. (The same as here in the forum.)
Sw Motech motor protections.
Stickers.
