Anyone have any personal experience?

I have some preconceived notions about the process, however, I have only JUST begun to look into this so I'd love to have any information that others have gleaned from experience or research...

Interesting. A dozen riders from my local group just talked about shipping bikes to Iceland by container and spend 2 weeks there, then ship them back to Montreal.

All I can say is that (roro) shipping out of Halifax to Antwerp was 1 to 2 orders of magnitude easier than shipping from LA to Brisbane (also roro). The Customs and port BS shipping out of or into the US is immense and ridiculous.
