Iceland air filter
Hi Im hoping to ride my R1200GS to Iceland and camp in July 12. Some one suggested taking a throw away air filter to change while Im on the island. Has anyone got any views on this?
If anyone has any tips and advise please share. :helpsmilie: |
I was in Iceland in 2010 with my R1200GS.
I used K&N washable airfilter. If you are riding alone and do not follow other cars too close in the dust cloud, it does not matter which airfilter you take, just enjoy amazing Iceland! Of course, it does not hurt if you have spare filter with you (just in case you drop your bike to a river etc). |
I spend most of 3 weeks in 2011 following a 660 Tenere around Iceland on my 1150GS. The original paper air filter did well and was still good when I got home (no active erruptions at that time).
