Orrin you're on opposite sides of the island. The only good route will be the ring road.

Hello
Check out Flugfelag Íslands » Forsíða you can find a flight for her to Egilsstadir from Reykjavik witch is not that far from Seydisfjordur.
If she takes the Flybus from Keflavik airport, the bus terminal in Reykjavik is near the domestic airport.
You can see the terminal building at the airport from where you get off the bus and it takes about 10-15mins to walk there(or a 3-4 minute Taxi)
The bus terminal is at the end of one of the runways.

I have a little time..

I arrive 36 hours before she does and I leave 3 days after she does.
So I have a little time. Will I make it? Its a real bummer as if she flies to Egils we still have to make our way back to Reyk, and then only doing half the ring road..? I dont want to fork out another £150 on flights.
Anyone have any ideas how to solve this problem?
How quick can i get from seys to keflavic.... if I buy a gel seat?

From Seydisfjordur to Reykjavik you can take road1 either the north route(681km) or the south route(723km)
The speedlimit on road1 is 90kmph but the traffic is normally doing 100-110 or more(just remember to slow down if you see the cops)
It is possible to do this trip in about 7-8 hours with stops for gas and food.
From Reykjavik to Keflavik airport is a 45 km drive.

I would take the north route and stop overnight in Akureyri. I drove from there yesterday on my DR600 in about 5 hours with stops.
We stayed one night at Hotel Edda( Accommodation in Iceland, travel in Iceland, Summer Hotels in Iceland, Hotels in Iceland. ) in Akureyri in our sleepingbags for ISK2500 per person. The breakfast was additional ISK900. Or if you are on a tight budget you can tent at the local camping grounds.

If you see me on a VERY overlaoded KTM640 I am always keen for a beer and chat!
