Sounds good, I should be along to that, I may even bring the bicycle if I'm feeling keen.

Hi Alex, bicycles welcome.Hope weather kinder to you than
Glencoe.! be good to see you again.

Milimut1 27 Jan 2012 18:27

Well I have changed my holidays to the week after the meet, and I have requested a holiday day on the Saturday, so far it is looking promising, but to be on the safe side full grovel mode will be implemented. The boss drinks coffee with milk and is partial to shortbread, will be heading to a superior shortbread maker this weekend.
Mike will put his holiday request in next week.
Would it be possible to get an invite to the rally in Dornoch please.

Hi Bruce & Angus,

It's looking good for me for the Highlands mini meet (although probably not for Chris), although I may arrive late on the Friday as I'm doing a CPD course on the Friday afternoon and I don't know what time it finishes at. Will let you know once I do!

Jake - let me know if you want somewhere to stay on your way up on the Thursday to break up the journey... we now have a very comfy sofa bed with a proper mattress (maybe better for your back?). Is Kieran coming to this meet or did he run away to Germany?

Looking forward to seeing everyone again and to meeting new people! :thumbup1:

Jake 10 Apr 2012 20:02

Hi Beej thanks for the offer of a bed thats really nice but i will probably wild camp somewhere in the back of beyond as I have no managed to escape anywhere from bricks and mortar this year so the wilderness is calling. Keiren wont be coming but no he is not in Germany. Catch up soon Best regards jake.

DougieB 10 Apr 2012 20:20

hey fella's,

Alex, you got the bicycle bug ? :-) If the weather is clear you can short-cut over the Corrieyairack, which is nothing compared to the Rannoch Moor epic we did. I did 4 days in the Pyrenees this weekend, a long route with an unexpected 1000 m off road climb in the middle !

good to see this meet still going strong. sadly it's a bit far from Barcelona, and it's 23 degrees here ;-)

enjoy the beers....

Beej 10 Apr 2012 20:42

No worries Jake, thought you might be wild camping as I know you usually do on the way up to Cannich! Hope you find a nice spot.

And Dougie... stop rubbing it in! Hope all is going well for you though!

Beej

Dougie - 23 degrees - now wait till its 40 degrees - sweaty, humid and to hot to do anything - your a Scotsman you must be like a fish out of water down there in the sun, go on admit it your missing the rain, wind, snow and cold and soon to come out midgies.

Milimut1 14 Apr 2012 17:06

Still waiting to discover if I will get a day off on the Saturday. We/I will be there on Saturday night. Until Mike hears different he will be there on Friday evening after work, that is if he is still working in UK at the time. I know all this info is no good for planning, but neither of our bosses are being very helpful at the moment.
I however know that I am on a weeks holiday after Cannich weekend, so at the latest I arrive Saturday early evening and leave Monday morning.

being nocturnal helps, as long as I make it home before sunrise I am surviving :-)
