Ace Cafe Overland Adventure Day Feb 20th 2011

Having missed the 2010 event and only today read through most of the thread thinking I was reading about the 2011 event I figured it was time to ask the question. Who is planning to be at the Ace Cafe on Sunday 20th Feb 2011?

maria41 10 Feb 2011 09:08

We will! :D

Look for a Blue Versys next to a cool Aprilia Shiver!

Pumpy 10 Feb 2011 18:37

I will be there as well with my trusty travel companion - and I'll bring my wonderful personal mechanic, too, in case you have any questions about the modifications...

I'll be there...

I'll be there on my 650 DAKAR, now with a silver beak and home grown tail...

Selous 12 Feb 2011 20:01

I am intending to turn up, just waiting to see if leave has been granted for it save me rushing to get back home to start work.
I know a number of people from the Adventure Bike Rider Forum are going & suspect some of you are like me on a number of forums, as well

I will be on a red Bandit 1250

Hopefully see you all there

emsee 13 Feb 2011 17:31

Really looking forward to this once again.:thumbup1: Oh and i'll be riding my red/white Kawasaki Tengai.

BaldBaBoon 13 Feb 2011 21:06

I will be there.

K plate, turquiose and white R100 GSPD....with an ugly bloke riding it.

Sam Manicom 14 Feb 2011 08:29

Birgit and I will be there too. Looking forward to it. Think Mark Manley, Dave Pape, Mon Pape, Elspeth Beard and Paul Blezard are coming too. And I think that some of the guys from SE Biker magazine will be there.
See you then : )

riderbob 14 Feb 2011 11:32

I will be there.

The day in pictures -

Possu already tucked into his (second...) breakfast, while Strobingred was still wondering if his jacket could bear the strain... http://www.ukgser.com/forums/images/smilies/augie.gif

From left to right: Seasoned RTW traveller Mark Manley introduced me to Alun Davies, publisher of Adventure Bike Rider, and Lancastermick presented his friend who's doing lots of endurance stuff but whose name escapes me right now, sorry...

On the right we have SE Rider Chris - without Erika this time who didn't get her priorities right today (apparently she had to work... http://65.38.186.190/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)

Don't look so grumpy, Possu, just let Desert Rat have the vampire skull-graphics from your 690 if it makes him happy... http://www.ukgser.com/forums/images/smilies/augie.gif

I had the pleasure to meet Andreas Hülsmann, journalist, photographer and author of many great motorcycle travel books and articles (especially in the German 'Tourenfahrer', the best touring magazine on the market, in my humble opinion) and Robert Wicks, author of the Haynes guides for the Motorcycle Adventurer
