Postponed to 2024 - HU Newfoundland 2nd Meeting (Aug 1-4 2023)
 

Lion Max Simms Memorial Camp is located on the banks of the mighty Exploits River, the largest river on the island and a Mecca for sport fishers. It is almost perfectly centred in the middle of the island with riding opportunities in every direction, whether you want to stick to the asphalt or hit the gravel.

HU NEWFOUNDLAND POSTPONED TO 2024

Hi everyone,

We’re very sad to announce that #HUNewfoundland 2023 is postponed to next year. We have notified everyone who registered in advance. We’re grateful for your understanding.

The unfortunate combination of the delay in securing a new venue in such a short time, poor air quality due to unseasonably early wildfire smoke, and difficulties in booking ferry space so close to the event (bookings to NL really must be made far in advance... motorcycles are NOT given loading preference) seems to have been enough to dissuade folks from finalizing their plans to come.

So, what now?

Once we confirm the 2024 dates, please add a reminder for HU Newfoundland 2024 in your travel plans... and remember to sign up and book the ferry as far in advance as possible.

Then, go have adventures this year! Near, far, short, longer, weekenders, over-nighters, solo, and with friends. Learn new things. Experiment with new gear and figure out how to pack lighter. Explore new routes and new civilizations. Boldly ride where you may not have ventured before.

We’ll see you next year. The rugged beauty of Newfoundland and Labrador awaits you with plenty of backroads and unparalleled coastal vistas.
