Canada East, Northeast US?
Just wondering if there are any active groups in the NE US/Canada? If not, what does it take to get one going? I'm not involved with any riders out here so don't know what to do?

I'd suggest you contact the HU communities in your area - they're listed on the Motorcycle Travellers' Community page. There's a section for the US and one for Canada. In my experience it can be kind of hit or miss as far as the response you get, but it's a starting place.
If you find a community in your area you can join it. If there is no community near you you can start one. And finally, to meet other riders in your area you might try the ADVrider Regional Forums. There's one for the Northeast and one for Canada. Best, Mike |
There is a thread on ADVRIDER about organizing a ride in NE Canada on Memorial Day. The same group is mapping out the TCAT (Trans Canada Adv Trail, something like that).
What kinda riding are you interested in? Street, Off-road, Adventure??? |
I'm involved in Advrider a bit, but the riders in my area (maine) are more interested in dirt bikes and drinking than any real riding. I tried to get them involved more than once, but they just aren't interested.
Hence my interest in HU  There is a local HU in eastport maine, but not too active....never got anything from them :frown: Should just start a new one here, no? |
I hear ya', I have the same problem with the folks on ADV.
That's why I'm heading up to Canada for some riding. |

If there was ever a Canada east my vote would be Cape Breton or PEI :thumbup1: |
I did PEI last summer with the wifey and daughters (by 4x4) and it was awesome!!! Would love to do it by bike.
We camped at Fundy and Saguenay, beautiful area and nice people!! One of my wife's pictures will be in Budget Travel (march issue) taken in Alma. http://im1.shutterfly.com/media/47a0...D720/ry%3D480/ |
Nice :thumbup1:
We did the fundy shore with a Jeep this past summer. No where near as fun as the bike. A couple years ago we went from the US border at St Stephens along the shore to Nova scotia. Across to just north of Halifax. Then the inside and outside loop of the Island, down the north shore into New Brunswick, up into QC and down the St Laurent to QCC, Sherbrooke and back to Maine via NH, about 4000mi. Hell of a trip. The next trip is Newfoundland and Labrador. Looking to spend a couple months up there. Taken on the NW side of Cape Breton Isle http://lh5.ggpht.com/_xRqdeMG80P4/Sm...0/DSCF3235.JPG |
