Jens Ruprecht is the local host for this event - we're VERY grateful to him for stepping up and really making it happen with a lot of legwork and effort, and an amazing new location for great riding.

Limited to the first 60 people only!

I found a great location for our first HU Meeting in Italy, close to lake Garda!

It will take place in beautiful surroundings at the village of Capovalle. Right between lake Garda and Idro lake. This will be a very special Meeting in one of the best riding areas of whole Europe!

It is limited to 60 people - we will stay at a very romantic farm house.

Including breakfast and dinners

Sleeping in the house or in your tent - both is possible

Please register early...it will be booked out soon...

Prices:

Tent(incl. 3 breakfasts, 3 dinners) 89.- Euros

House(dorms) 149.- Euros

The whole farmhouse is only for us, great fireplace, firewood incl. workshop incl.(if you have problems with your bike...) The owner is a motorcyclist too and is willing to show us the best rides in the area! - Even some Off-Road is possible!!!

I live only a few dozens of Km. from Garda Lake, so it could be a blast to be there and meet you all in front of some good beer glasses...

I and my girlfriend have only a problem: we may be free from work only from Saturday late morning to Sunday evening, so my question is: is there a "package" for one night only, also? We'd stay in our tent, in case...

about. but i'm already in the hassle with pakistan embassy for visa. they seems get bored and nasty to proceed for tourist visa; fly tickets to go & back, hotel bookings exc. WHAT A (NOT) WONDERFUL WORLD...

you are right - 49ccm! Top Speed around 50-55 km/h, but downhill the machine speeds up to 58!!!

Hi guys,

I hope there's still time to register for this first HU meeting in Italy, I can't miss it !! Some friends would also like to come, can I register for them, too ? Is it possible to arrive one day later (same problem as others, work, work and work ...) I live quite near Garda Lake, so we could arrive on friday evening and stay untill sunday ...

If interested, I have some video and slides about our rides around the world (Asia-Africa) ...

No problem registering, we still have room.

You can register for your friends too, just remember all registrations for this event are prepaid, so you'll have to collect from them :)

Arriving late is not a problem, but you will miss out on some things. Please confirm when you know for sure so we don't cook for you and have to throw it out.

There is a discount if you want to do a presentation/slide shows, I think €10 or so. See the presenters page, link on the Italy Meeting page - in an hour or so - I'm still working on the Presenters page update! :)

I checked on motorcycle rentals in Italy and it seems expensive. How hard is it to purchase a motorcycle there and leave it in storage or take it across boarders?

No problem - we have two payments for you. Why you haven't received the second one from PayPal is curious, but nothing to do with us. Perhaps check your junk mail - just because one came through doesn't mean the other one will.

As far as we're concerned, you're good to go!

Hi just need to know what the subscription situation is like with regard to the Capovalle meeting. I plan to attend with a couple of friends and we've been away riding in the West of Scotland. Are there still places available for the 3 of us? Thanks, Dave

No problem! We always CLOSE the registration when we fill up - no point in leaving a form to register for something that's full up, that would be annoying and rude, and we try not to be! :)

So as long as the form is there, fill it in and you're good to go!

Right, regarding the slide presentation - I'll bring my slides on a stick. I take it you will provide a computer & beamer. Actually the pics are quite nice. Two years ago I showed them at the meeting in Andaluc

Don`t forget the Moto Guzzi Factory and museum at mandello del lario on Lake Como. well worth a visit.

According to weather forecasts here in Italy, the HU meeting will be "kissed" by clear skies and hot sunshine: by Saturday, temperatures in the north of the Country are expected to reach 40 degrees.

It was my first HU meeting and I must say I already miss it.

Lovely atmosphere, great and friendly people, a stunning location...
The thunderstorm of Saturday night has not been able to spoil this meeting: we had fun, stood with friends from all over the world, enjoyed the pictures and the ride tales in Africa and Mongolia, ate well and drank even better...
Can one ask for more?

Thanks to all the new friends we met there, and to Jens for organizing this event that for me and my girlfriend has already become a must-return for 2011.

Terrific meeting. Many thanks to all who worked so hard to make this happen, great weather, magnificent people could not have asked for more . Strolled down to Capovalle from the UK by all the byways in France and across Grimsel Furka and Gothard pass.
The view from my bedroom window (tent) was breathtaking and the storm at night, loved it , sat up and watched the lightning streaks across the mountains . Once again well done and thankyou.

sorry that I answer so late... but I stayed till friday in Italy!

All the area around our Meeting spot is so nice, so I had to spend a couple of more days at Lake Idro(with Cristina and Pablito).

just got back last night to uk from the italy meet it was great, i loved it all, my round trip was 3,800miles.

we stayed longer too! Me, Cristina and Pablo stayed a couple more days at lake Idro, Anfo Campground, direct at the water!

The area is so nice! We crossed the border to Germany and it started raining...

jens, you marked my map for me to see the verdon gorge ( grand canyon ), it was great, i stayed two days there in a campsite and met a ex biker who was in a camper van (howard) he was a nice guy, we toured around the passes in the alps,switzerland and parted in germany. ( thanks howard if you read this )

Hi everyone

What a great weekend, I did not know what to expect but it ended up being one of the highlights of my stay in europe. Thanks to Micheal, Jens and all of the really cool people we met.
Just remember i will be home in NZ in December so any of you that have my address you must come by for a cold beer. (you must give me at least an hours notice to get the beer cold)
