HU France - thank you
It took me five years to get there (not just a slow bike, but various other things getting in the way each year - like Covid) but I finally made it down to Camping Les Hirondelles this year. And what a brilliant event it was. I met some really amazing and inspirational people, did my best to make sense of the presentations I attended and could not fault the way it was organised. So a great big thank you to everyone I met there. It was the tenth anniversary meeting, and may there be many more. The venue is close to perfect and the organising team should be proud of themselves. So a big clapping of hands over my morning coffee to show my appreciation. :thumbup1:
Below is my experience of the event through the pen and ink sketches of Phillipe Boudignon. This is my bike but I know he sketched many more. And the second picture is the sometimes reality of adventure travel (particularly on an old bike like the one I was using). The end of my road came near Dijon when something let go inside the engine. :( https://i.postimg.cc/W4Zxs85Q/IMG-1233s.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/0QqFjS3r/IMG-1288.jpg |
Great to hear your thoughts on the event, and thanks for letting everyone know! The HU France Team always does a great job, and we're very grateful to them for their efforts to bring travellers together and help to inspire them to see the world.
