I have to say I have never met a bunch of awesome, like minded peopel in such a shot time. Mark and Gemma thanks heaps, sensational effort and hospitality, appolagies for the early departure, kind regards to all :-)

Another vote of thanks to Gemma, Mark & Pongo for a fantastic weekend. Lesser beings would have been defeated by the weather :rain::stormy::rain:
but everyone rallied to make it a great event, hopefully the first of many. Same time next year..? :D

Straggler Sunday evening talk......

Thanks to Thermal for a great talk about travelling in the great US of A and bike shipping for those of us who were still around on Sunday evening.

Really informative and made me and Mark inspired to explore .... might see you there THERMAL!! :palm:

mini meet

Thanks for the weekend, great to meet you all and get inspired, I have found a singh doing bike hire http://lallisingh.com is that the one you used Gemma, had a great run home once it stopped raining west of Figeac, hope you all had the same.
cheers john

Thermal 17 Sep 2013 09:39

Thanks for the kind words GemmaSun. Was fun giving a unrehearsed/unprepared impromptu presentation...

I'm always available - somewhere - for local knowledge on bike travel in the western US.

The boat to the UK and London didn't do much for me, but what I've seen of Wales and Dublin have been fantastic. The Irish even painted the clouds blue to make 'em look like sky! Too bad it was washed away ovenight, but then I should be used to rain by now :-)

Never mind Roger, but it would have been good to see you. I'm already putting pen to paper thinking about something next year, so keep an eye on the HUBB over the coming months, and hopefully we can book you in!
