1st HU Meeting Germany - only 1 more month!!! Who is coming???

Hi guys,

only 1 more month to the 1st HU Meeting in Germany!

We already got a lot of registrations, but I know as closer we get to the event, we will get more people...Please everybody should register - 1 registration per person - Thank you!

We don´t the guesthouse to have problems with their food and drinks planning.....

Imagine we would sit in the sun without a cold beer - and that in Germany!

So, who is coming??? We already have people from Germany, Netherlands, England, Scotland, Switzerland, Austria, Australia and even Canada! I heard from an Argentinian guy too....

See you end of may!

El Aleman - Jens

Well I'm coming and although I'm Scottish I don't drink beer. So make sure there's a plentiful supply of cola :)

Yes I know, it's a rare sight to see a Scotsman who doesn't drink alcohol ;)

Thanks goodness Jens didn't use more than 3 exclamation marks per sentence
“And all those exclamation marks, you notice? Five? A sure sign of someone who wears his underpants on his head.”
„Hast Du die ganzen Ausrufezeichen bemerkt? Fünf? Ein sicheres Zeichen für jemanden, der seine Unterhose auf dem Kopf trägt.“

Jim, German beer is not like the crap you get at home! It's made according to a purity law. I too gave up beer after the swill I was offered in Scotland, until I got hold of German beer! In fact you can't sell British pish beer in Germany - it's illegal.

PSI know several Scots who don't drink alchohol.......

JimOD 13 May 2008 16:15

I don't know what you got offered in Scotland but in the supermarkets you can buy beer/wine e.t.c from all over Europe.
I know several Scots who don't drink alcohol also. I know a hell of a lot who do though ;)

I will be there ..

well possibly..

me and mrs gT are planning on getting there at some point during the weekend.

We are setting off from London on early friday morning.. its around 475mils plus a channel crossing, so we may be a bit late ..

El Aleman - Jens

is it ok if we turn up and pay rather than - register in advance?

KennyE 14 May 2008 18:39

I will be ther. At the moment I am in the south of France getting a bit wet. I signed up for Tintaldra but couldn't make it as my bike shipment was brought forward. But I'll put in my order for good weather now.

See you there

Kenny

I wish I could but the day after the HU meeting, my son is getting married and there a lot of things that I have to do before the wedding........ :-(
Maybe next year.
I wish you all a good meeting and make sure to post some pictures of the meeting and rides somewhere.

Caminando 16 May 2008 13:45

OOoooPs sorry! I'm actually far from being sexist - rather the opposite. And that was meant to be in praise of women who are fully capable of shelf building and grasscutting etc. In fact it's good to see them with overalls and riggers belt on, looking great. I dont want to be in any trouble with Mrs Gt so why dont you look me up in Hi-Hi-Hi Heidelberg and I'll give you and Mrs GT a good German gottle of geer. She will also find out that I am not an evil monster but non threatening and peaceful.

I wont arrive till Saturday. I may not look my absolute best as I will be sleeping in a hedge somewhere on Friday night. Alas.

She sure knows how to hurt a guy!

And I was afraid the GT meant Gin and Tonic, which would have proved heavily expensive, bringing a tear to my eye...

(She seems very headstrong and hard to handle....(sssh)

Hi Jens

Good luck with your first HU meeting. Sorry we can't make it (working for a living is not all it's cracked up to be). We hope everything goes as planned and if it doesn't, you'll all have a great time anyway.

Come and see us again soon.

Alison & Andy

Relax Jens - it's too late now anyway :innocent: Anyway, you'll have me there, harassing people until they buy my book :smile2:

Look forward to meeting you.

Alles Gute und bis Samstag!

Dave

channel crossing Friday 23

the GTs have booked a crossing tomorrow (friday) around 8.00 on the tunnel tube

anyone crossing the same time?

we could possibly hook up and ride along.. not sure which route is best.. so we may end up wondering around the motorways for a while

--

if you see a lost red Multistrada followed by a printer on wheels (a BM HP 2) - offer directions freely.

see you all soon

Hi Ghost,

we will start off by calling you Herr, then abuse you, then finish our heckling with "bitte".
