XRV 750 AT L/M, only 35 hp?

Hello AT Community
I'm thinking about buying a AT. Saw one in good shape for a good price. I thought a 1991 RD04 has about 59 hp but this L/M Model seem to have only 35 hp. Couldn't find anything about an AT with 35 hp in the Internet but other L/M Versions with similar performance specifications.

So whtat is L/M standing for? Is it a curbed version? If yes, can I undo it easily?:helpsmilie:

Thanks for answers?c?.

XRV 750 AT L/M, only 35 hp?

Hello theunstoppable,

As I know L/M stands for the year of manufacture, L=1990, M=1991. All ATs have carbs, there were no FI models.
Most of the times the restriction is made with metal plates in the inlets between the carbs and the engine, these are easy to remove: RD03 restricted ?????? - Page 3

There are other restriction methods as well for the bikes manufactured for different countries. Check this list as well before buying, somebody has made an awesome work assembling this list:

Besides I have an RD04 as well. It's a great bike, fun to ride both on and offroad. :mchappy:

Best Regards,
Andras

Thank you Andras for your quick and very helpful answer. This is good news:thumbup1:
Actually I have a fully equipt BMW F800 GS and thought about buying the AT for a friend of mine to join me on my journey from Switzerland to SE-Asia early next year. But the more I read about the AT the more I'd like to own one myself:mchappy:
Sometimes I feel that my shiny white BMW 30 years annyversary edition is misplaced in poor countries. This blue, pink and turquoise RD04 surely wouldn't be :nono:
Anyhow, I think I'm going to buy this bike:clap:

Thanks again
