Tubeless Tires on Tubeless AT 750? Cheaper in Calcutta

Hi all,

I'm in Calcutta and hunting down tires for my AT 750 is a pain. There are plenty of tubeless tire options, and they're all pretty cheap (way less than 100USD per tire).

Currently, I've got 140/80/r17 on the rear, and 90/90/21 on the front. I dont know much about tyres, but I do know that I need to get the same radius.

Basically, I'll be using these tires for Indian highways (which are semi-off track for sections)

Two Questions:

From what I've read, I can use tubeless tires on an AT provided I use a tube: Tubeless Tyres Any more input on this? Should it be fine? Why pay more, right?

Second, any recommendations on brands? I'm thinking MRF (Madras Rubber Factory). Good and cheap :-)

No worry's, you can use tubeles tyres with tubes! I do it al the time.
Dont know of the brands you mention. Just buy the same size as the old ones and you should be fine.

You should be able to fit upto a 150 on the AT without any hassles. Over here, 140's are difficult to find and we're limited to 130 or 150.

130's don't have the same load rating and are made for smaller bikes, such as 650 single cylinder machines. They don't last on an AT. If you can't find a 140, look for a 150. A 130 will just cost you more in the long run if you're loaded up
