Transalp 700 rear suspension tip.

Something that I thought I'd share.
It's regarding the rear shock on the Transalp, in my case a 2008 700cc model. I've been doing some internet searching on what way to improve the rear suspension, from spring change to complete shock replacement, and didn't really find out anything conclusive. So before going out and spending a load of dosh I thought I'd add some preload to the spring, see what happens.I removed the battery box, and turned the adjusting ring 3 full turns, and I have to say it's made a big difference, to thepoint now theres no way I'll be buying any aftermarket parts. The main reason for wanting to make the adjustments is I'm going on a trip to Eastern Europe in a months time ( Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania & Bulgaria, returning via former Yugoslavia ) and will be loading the bike up with hard panniers. If you're thinking of making changes to the rear suspension, don't spend any money till you've tried adjusting the OE shock, might save you a few quid .
