TKC 80s on AT

Hi.
Can any fellow Twinners tell me how TKC80s perform on ordinary and unpaved roads and what mileage I can expect to get from them.
Cheers Derek.

I think they perform wery well on both gravel and tarmac, a good compromise for mixed driving.
Longlivity depends on use....
If you brake alot the front gets worn.
If you play around in gravel, the bak disapears realy quick also on fast high way.
I usualy get around 8000km on a set, with mixed driving. Slow driving in Norway
Touring two up (8000km) and solo i got 15000km on a back and front still going at 20000km.

TKC80's are a fantastic tyre for the AT. Good grip on the road (wet and dry) and a huge improvement off-road compared to the normal road biased tyres like Tourances, Anakees, etc.

I'm gentle with the throttle and brakes but usually ride with loaded panniers, and expect 5000+ miles from a rear and 8000+ miles from a front.

Oh, they look the dogs danglies too!

How?

Hey Frode

How did you manage to get 15'000 kms??!? that's amazing. I got my tkc80 back worn down after about 8000kms about 50/50 gravel/tarmac roads. The front was going for another 4000kms.

Cheers
