tips for speeding up a Donda Dominator 650?

Hi
I have a Honda dominator 93 , the specifications says that the max speep is 100mh, but i only get 85-90mh.
Does anyone know some tips for increasing the speep?
Thanks

The easiest way would be to change the rear sprocket to one with a couple teeth less. Don't go too small as it would be detrimental to the acceleration.

85-90 is about all that my 2000 Dommie does as well. .........they are only about 40 bhp, and I keep looking for a sixth gear when I ride. I think you would need to increase the size of the rear sprocket by a couple of teeth, or perhaps reduce the front one by a tooth, as mcdarbyfeast says, don't increase the rear by more than a couple of teeth, you will make first gear too high for slow riding on the rough or in trafic, and you may well end up using your clutch much more - causing it to wear more quickly. It's a trade off. Why would you want to go faster than 90?

Must remember to engage brain before posting reply information.
Decrease rear sprocket size and/or increase front sprocket to increase gearing. The exact opposite of my post above. Silly me. Follow mcdarbyfeast's advice.

Hi
Thanks lads for your replies, I heart that an after market filter helps. Do you know anything about?

The speed might be about right depending also on the mileage and how well you're bike has been looked after. Are you sure this is a UK bike? There aren't many around, but some NX's made for the European market are restricted. It's easy to get by, or so I hear. There is some tuning info at http://ozdom.tripod.com/

Hope this helps,

Stig

Hi

Thanks for your reply. As you well say, the bike is an italian import, not a UK motorbike.
It is a Honda Dominator 650, they were built in Italy for the european market.

It is not a NX as in american market though they are very similar.
