AT gearing
What front/rear sprockets are you useing on your bike for a long trip?
Thanks! |
I´m using the standard sprokets, front and rear. Never felt the need to change the gearing. I do have a front sproket with 1 tooth less with me for those long strait miles of nothing but burning petrol but have never used it in 18 months on the road in the Americas. Stick with what you´ve got is my advice.

I`m using the standard sprockets too. If you will ride on HWY try to fit rear sprocket with 1 or 2 tooth more, BUT REMEMBER standard sprockets are optimal and you can be sure that the engine, gearbox and chain work without an overload.

err, you guys have it backwards methinks....
MORE teeth on the FRONT, OR, LESS teeth on the BACK is for highway use normally, giving you lower engine RPM. Grant |
