Hello again, as I see no one has any info on my last thread re. Renault trm 2000 it looks like I have to change my choice of truck so if anyone could tell me any thing about the MAN 8 136. Fuel consumption for a start, I saw on a military site they only get about 10 mpg that seems a bit excessive surely they get a bit more, I would have imagined they would around 14 or 15. Say 20 liters to the 100 km. What is there comfortable cruising speed? And are the military ones much different to the fire department ones. I'm looking at mobile.de and there are a few nice ones. Any info would be appreciated.

The owner of campervanculture has one and has a build thread for the camper conversion on his site. He told me he gets about 14mpg

Non military have more comfy cabs and sound proofing but the military ones sometimes come with extras like winches
