Very sorry to hear that! He always had lots to say, and whether you liked him or not for that, he was helpful and informative for many, and he was an all-round good guy. I'll miss him.

Patrick at CITY BIKE

Patrick was a long contributing member of our wild team at CITY BIKE www.citybike.com
It'll be good to re-connect with him on The Other Side where gas is plentiful and free and I'll again have to try to catch him on his DR.

I’m really sorry to hear this - i’d missed him round here.

Whilst he may have ruffled the odd feather at times I really appreciated his experience and advice. The DR650 has just lost it’s greatest advocate:-(

RIP Mollydog.
Let's hope we have one guardian angel more on the sky.

I never met him, except on the internet, but I liked him.

He lived a good and adventurous life- loved motos and moto travel.

We all know he loved to argue about motorcycles, and was banned from a few internet sites over the years, and reinvented his internet persona several times to get back on and stay active in the community.

He especially loved his DR650 and I could always spot his new internet identity because he would eventually post a pic and I knew his bike. Sometimes it looked like this...........

and other times like this........

He was good man, quick with advice/help for travelers who posted up in trouble and had good advice for me on a trip once.

Very sorry to see him go.

How could so much time go by and me not see this. :( I’m so sad to read of Patrick’s passing a year ago. I used to enjoy reading his contributions and despite the odd difference of opinion I always respected his wealth of knowledge and huge experience. He’ll be sadly missed by me, and I’m sure many others and I only wish I’d taken the trouble to look him up when I was last in California.

If this could get by me it makes me wonder how many other people who have impacted on my life to a greater or lesser extent, but with whom I don’t currently have contact, this could happen to without me being aware for ages, if ever, what has happened. :(

RIP Patrick, he loved telling people how good the DR was, because it was & he knew it.

Mezo.
