Working on building sites within the EU?

I'm looking to do a bit of work on various building sites (I'm a sparky) while I'm travelling around Europe. I need to know what I am going to need in the way of paperwork, etc. to get onto jobs.

Here in the UK you need to have a CSCS card or you just won't get your foot in the door. What are the equivallents in France, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, etc....

In case you'll find yourself heading the other way (dodgy GPS?) I can say that in Ireland you need to register for tax and get a PPS number, with that you can work everywhere.
