Visa for Bulgaria
 

Am in Iran at present but need info about visa requirements for bulgaria for Australian passport holders. Can we get visa(if needed) at the Turkey Bulgaria border or do we need to get one from the embassy in istanbul???

Hi there, I am Turkish and I've also tried to obtain Bulgarian visa. But, they wanted so much thing that I can't do. So, I gave-up and changed my route. BUT, I've just checked the Bulgarian embassy web site for you
http://www.bulgarianembassy.org.uk/
and it says:

"Holders of valid ordinary passports from the following countries do not need visa for a visit to Bulgaria for a period of up to 30 days within each period of six months:

Andorra, Australia, Canada, Estonia, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Liechtenstein, Monaco, New Zealand, Switzerland, UK, USA, the Vatican.

For passport holders of countries enumerated in this section, a visa is needed only if their stay in Bulgaria should exceed 30 days, or they require multiple entry for a longer period of time or a long-term visa."

So, as you can see, you dont need visa for Bulgaria.

Can 'confirm' that from our research. Did need one for Romania though if you're heading that way.
