Ukraine border question

I am travelling from Krakow to Lviv next week and wondered what a realistic time on my bike would take. It looks like the E40 is the most direct with a border crossing at Korczowa/Kracowiec. Any current info appreciated

ukraine border

passed through there early july with 2 motorbikes, big queues but we were ushered to the front by everyone, all straight forward once details of bike and rider entered into database passport stamped and on our way

Thanks, that's what I was hoping. I want to book a hotel in Lviv for the first couple of nights, but with the poor roads in Ukraine, losing an hour for time zones, a time consuming border crossing might make it too much.

Uzhhorod (Slovak border) has short queues

I've crossed to Ukraine from Slovakia to Uzhhorod. The queue was just a few cars. On the other hand, my motorcycle was stolen the same day, but that's another story.

There's an overview of Ukrainian border crossings here.

should have updated my thread. Border crossing at Korczowa/E40 took about 45 mins everyone was quite friendly and the girls stamping the passports etc were chatty and spoke English.

Really sorry for stolen bike (((

We passed Ukrainian border in August. From Tiraspol (Transnestria, Molodavia). Place Pervomajsk-Kuchurgan.

1. The guys from MC Vikings (Tiraspol) said that they have and agreement with the border police that bikers can go out of queue.
2. We had a short interview with an officer, because I have Russian passport and my boyfriend has Serbian one. Nothing special. Simple questions about where we're going to, how long gonna to stay, where, how much money we have, do we the members of any MC ets. Actually, any border police can call you for such interview.
3. Plan your time better. Ukrainian roads are terrible! Do not ride at night. :welcome:
