Turkey -wooded campsites?
In relatively coastal areas either north, south or west.
I prefer not to camp in full sun or under scrubby little trees with only partial shade. |
Please write the names of the towns you wish to stay.large country and many bugalow or wooden house campings...
|
Thank you!
I should have said campsites that have trees with lots of shade. Anywhere on any coast. |
Just watch out for fire ants in pine forests :)

Hey Arow,
I remember this place "olympos" from my trip to turkey: Olympos - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia [url=http://www.turkeytravelplanner.com/go/med/olimpos/]Olimpos & http://www.turkeytravelplanner.com/go/med/olimpos/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhhCPbhvPI8 I stayed in: zeus pansiyon olympos (one of the oldest, you will find more pics on facebook and information on lonly planet)) another one: http://www.olymposturkmentreehouses.com pro: - olympos is a nice place to relax and with a nice beach - good food, you can have your room with food in the evenings and coffee and tea at daytime (sounds first strange for us: but usually they make a good homemade kitchen.) - you find travellers from every nation to talk in the evenings (backpackers) - i think its wort to stay2-3 nights to relax after a longer trip - friendly people (like almost all the places i visited in turkey) cons - getting more and more buisy - at the weekends a litlle buisy with tourists - i can't recommend for 5 stars travellers. But be carefull with beer in the evnings ... you have to be able to find the way up yourself. (tree-houses) |
Thanks motravel, I'll check that out on my next trip.
Other circumstances have prevented me from getting to Turkey this time. |
