Spare Transnistrian and Moldovan Currency
 

I've got 148 Transnistrian Roubles (approx 10 dollars) and 26 Moldovan Lei (just over £1, so not quite as useful!) if anybody is planning a trip to that region and would like a few roubles to keep them going in Transnistria when they arrive. I found the exchange places were very keen to sell me Roubles but much less willing to buy them back when I left!

I think you'll get a better deal flogging them to local collectors. ;)

I've got a whole jar of weird currencies at home. Eventually managed to sell my Taiwanese dollars in Frankfurt (had enough left to bother exchanging), but my Lao kip are still there as souvenirs!

Just realised that my initial post on this wasn’t too clear; I’m not selling these and don’t want anything in return, just having a clear out and just wondered if they would be of any use to anyone here.

With that internet handle hopefully you've read all the Flashman books? Best historical fiction ever IMHO
