Portugal in March 2020

Hi,

I'm about to dip my toes in the world of international motorcycle travel!

I ride here at home in Colorado, and I'm a pretty competent and adventurous regular traveler with planes, trains, and automobiles (and even the occasional dump truck through the Sahara), but this my first trip renting a motorcycle.

I'm looking for any and all advice on places to stay, roads to ride, sights to see, and shops to rent bikes from (in Lisbon-and I already have one lead from other people's posts/recommendations so an extra thanks is in order for those!)

Thanks!
Jay

https://www.lxrent.pt/en - I rented (a Vespa 250) from these guys, and they treated me well.

In terms of where to go - just open Google Maps and look for green splotches with squiggly white lines going through them. Around Lisbon, the Sintra-Cascais National Park is a great destination: lots of mountain roads, awesome historical palaces and convents to check out, and Cabo da Roca - the westernmost point of the European mainland.

For bike rental you may try to contact "ORS - Offroad Services". They have several AJP PR7 which they may rent. They're located in Cascais, about 20km from Lisbon.
As far as what to see and go, drive south along the coast, then take the TET north. That should be a good trip.

Hi.
You must ride through N2, the Portuguese equivalent to Route 66 :)
N2 cross the country from North to South 738km long.
