NIF in Portugal
 

I am planning a 2020 moto tour in Portugal, probably Sp, maybe Morocco. To buy a bike in PT, I will need a NIF. Last year, in Ponta Delgada, Finanças told me as a non-resident tourist I could not get a NIF, but I opened a bank account anyway--CGD. Is there any HUBB around Lisboa or Faro who can give advice about getting a NIF or for dealers/websites for used bikes?

Look for a Portuguese tax authority in the area where you want to go.
You need to go there physical. Not enough with E-mails or website or...

You can get a non resident NIF.
No problem.
Just bring the papers needed
