Need for help in Sicily (Siracusa) due to medical problem
 

Possible urgent need for help due to a medical problem. Hello. I’m a biker from Panama and have been riding around Europe for the past three summers. I’m currently in Siracusa, Sicily, Italy. I woke up yesterday with intense back pain. I’ve never had this problem before but at the moment can hardly walk. I saw a doctor this morning and he prescribed some anti-inflamatory but it may or may not work.
So here is my problem: I’m supposed to take the ferry with my bike (BMW 1200RT) from Palermo to Genoa on Thursday and then from Genoa to Tangiers. The boat stops in Barcelona and my wife is supposed to join me there. The problem is that I’m not sure I will be able to ride if this pain doesn’t get better in the next day. In that case I’ll have to get medical attention somewhere, and leave my bike here until I can get back. If that’s the case, I’m hoping someone might be able to help me get the bike to somewhere that can store it (or that has a space). I know it’s a lot to ask, but I don’t have many options. I'm open to ideas.

try to contact a HU communities in Italy, there should be someone that knows someone in Sicily to store your bike until you can ride again. You will find this function on the top of the page under CONNECT.

Your health has to come first, you can take the next ferries, dont worry about this.
