M/cycle Insurance Georgia
 

Can anyone inform me if there is a facility where Georgian motorcycle insurance can be purchased at the Kartsakhi border crossing please? If yes, could you give an indication as to the cost?

When visiting Georgia in the past I was blissfully unaware it was a requirement, but ignorance is no legal defence!

According to iOverlander, yes you can buy insurance there but I have not personally passed through.

As of last autumn, Georgian insurance for a motorcycle was 35 GEL, or about $13

i crossed there last year , you can find change, gazoline station and insurance , easy !

Posof/Vale border crossing
 

I will be leaving Turkey shortly and plan to cross into Georgia using the 955 Posof/Vale border. Just checking if I can by motorcycle insurance there and change money if anyone knows that be very helpful. British passport holder if that makes any difference. Thank you Adrian

You can certainly change money there, but better rates can be found away from the border..
