Latest fuel prices in France?
Hi
With the rising costs of Diesel in the Uk, I'm thinking of doing a trip to france (free of charge) to fill up our 4x4 and couple of jerry cans. Anyone got up to date prices? Cheers Becky |
The latest exchange rate is not in your favor, a few months ago the difference was small for petrol if any at all I think I was paying 1.3 euro and 1.24 in the supermarkets.
Cheaper to go into a service station here and buy some off a Romanian truck driver :) or veggie oil from tescos. Spain or Luxembourg is a better bet Buying petrol and diesel in France, a price survey - day-tripper.net. In that article there is a small note about petrol on the ferry not sure if it applies to diesel Steve |
I think I paid €1.18 per litre or thereabouts for diesel in France last week.
The price has been fluctuating a lot recently. I've just dug out my old receipts but they don't show the price per litre on them, just the total amounts. Anyway, found this link (fuel prices are at the bottom of the page) which may be of use - Our shopping center in Calais |
There you go, even better, covers all of France -
Bienvenue sur le site Internet du Ministère des Finances www.prix-carburants.gouv.fr and you can even sort them by price. I've only just found this myself, it's rather good really. |
Excellent website, thanks for that, I've just spotted I can save myself €3.50 if I fill up half way to work, rather than filling up as I usually do before I set out to come home.
Hmm what to do with my extra €3.50 a week? |
Alex..
You could offer me a beer. No reason, other than being sociable. |
Southern Spain, I filled up two days ago at a BP & noted that diesel was more expensive than "super".
1.12euro litre 95petrol 1.13euro litre diesel. |
Try looking at the fuel prices in Gibraltar compared to what we're paying in mainland UK. If that doesn't piss you off, nothing will.
