Las Badenas Reales Spain

Hi, I'll be heading to Spain in July, I want to visit Las Badenas Reales while I'm there. I'm planning on spending 2 days in the area.
I'm looking for advice on what to see and where to stay, please.

Thanks for reading,

John

An afternoon would be enough to do the Bardenas Reales loops. Otherwise there's a dinosaur trail nearby.

Hello

I've done it in motorbike 2 weeks ago, the landscape is really impressive.
There are two main entrances : between Tudela and Valarena, and between Valtierra and Arguedas. The second entrance, after a few km on asphalt, give access to a nice 30km long gravel roads up to Carcastillo.

Enjoy :)

I'm updating hundreds of nav files at the moment- the old Bardenas one is out of date and will be worked when I get aroundtuit!
If you use the search option with the corrected spelling of BaRdenas Reales, you'll find heaps of information. ( and on Wiki too)

A few years ago I took a trip there with a mate. We rode down to the border with France and Spain and then turned left and effectively rode the border. After most of the day along the border we hit a campsite, before turning south the next day. I think we took a day and a half around Bardenas then headed north west off-road to Lagrono. After that it was back up towards the ferry at Santander, by road initially (the old road rather than the motorway) then off road west of Bilbao.

I expect I still have the GPS routes on my computer somewhere.

Hi all,

I went to the Bardenas Reales last september after the french HU meeting but only alf of the site was open to visit, as Bardenas is also a spanish army training camp and even ifthey use it only few times in the year, you can be unlucky. There is a small auberge in Figarol (bed, shower, beers, diner, breakfast ,and a family atmosphere 32€) hold by a character lady (the chef) Maria. If you are 4, you can rent the fishing boat in the garden for the night.
Upper in the north you can follow the gravel road along the channel and the river Aragon it's a nice and funny riding.
Have a nice trip

Roger

Ride safe and cool
