Instanbul to Antalya
 

Good day,

I'll be riding from Instanbul to Antalya this summer.

Can you guys share hints on which road to take, sightseeing etc?

I can spend up to 1 week on that part of the trip.

Dear Nico, the road from Istanbul to Antalya is well traveled and paved. Your nick implies you have GS maybe?
Depending how much time you have I would prefer secondary roads and enjoy the less travelled parts.
I am not sure when you will travel but the August is very hpt over here.

Thanks for your input. I'm about to leave Krakow now, packing my stuff.
I'm expected to be in Thessaloniki on AUG 21st till 26th, then I'll ride to Turkey.
The idea is to go South from Istanbul, enjoy the sea, then ride through Capadoccia and further to Georgia, take the ferry in Poti to Odessa and from there back home.
I'm indeed riding an old GSX 750. She's a good girl, never let me down - but sadly I think that's going to be her last trip. It's certainly not a trail bike, but she can cope with a bit of gravels - then I'm the one sweating ;)

If you have suggestions for the trip, I'm listening most carefully. A good swim in a lake on the way, a good place to have a break and chat with people - wow! That's a gift!
