There's one law you really need to stick to... drive on the other side! :)

Speeding

:thumbup1:The Swiss are very stricked on speed limits. I think there is also some sort of charge to use their highways, which has to be purchased in advance. Spain more relaxed in my experience but beware of toll roads, you need to keep your entry tickets for leaving toll road othwise you will be charged the FULL distance of toll road. Hope this helps .

Nothing special you need to be aware of, just try and keep some small Euro coin change to hand for tolls because digging your wallet out as a queue builds up behind you at a toll barrier isn't fun... In Switzerland, avoid motorways and stick to mountain roads, some of the best in the world! Perfectly paved and relatively quiet.

Enjoy

To add to what chef jules said about keeping toll ticket, in France go to manned toll booth 'cos the automatic booths (credit card only)ones charge you car rate, which is 2-4 times the bike rate.
At least the Swiss are now in the schengen area, so there's not only no passport control but also not someone demanding you buy a motorway vignette at the border. You only need them for motorway but it was one hell of a row to get in without buying an unnecessary sticker!
No mods/special needs for bike, just carry docs (v5, insurance, licence) with you.

Exactly the same here in Italy, never lose it!

And if one doesn't automatically come out, push the :censored: red button!!
Theres a lot of paperwork in toll kiosk and then office to go through if you dont have the ticket.
